Juni Learning Announces Education Partnership with Republic
Juni Learning and Republic join forces to empower students ages 7-18 to learn about investing
SAN FRANCISCO – August 13, 2021 – Juni Learning, an online, 1:1, learning experience designed to prepare kids for the real world, announced today its partnership with Republic, a New York City based investment platform.
Republic is a key contributor and collaborator with Juni Learning’s new course focused on stock investing for kids, “Money Minded: Introduction to the Stock Market.” The new course, launched on August 9, 2021, is part of Juni’s new Investing & Entrepreneurship curriculum vertical. It provides students ages 7-18 with the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of investing, and understand how to apply this knowledge in the real world.
The investing curriculum covers a range of topics, including: the exploration of different types of investments, assessment of a company’s potential success, and a comprehension of the impact of risk tolerance on portfolios.
In learning how to assess a company’s potential success, Juni students will use their investment knowledge to advise Vivian Shen, Juni Learning’s CEO and Founder, on which companies she should invest in from Republic’s platform. This unique learning opportunity encourages students to think critically about Shen’s investing criteria and how these businesses will potentially make a positive impact on their lives.
Republic, which recently celebrated its fifth year in business, gives people the power to invest in the future they believe in by providing access to early stage startups, real estate, crypto, and video game investments. Republic aims to establish more equitable funding and investment opportunities for founders and retail investors.
