For our second Juni Mathematics Open Challenge, our Math Team took a moment for some deep reflection. We thought about all the ways in which we feel inspired and motivated to make a positive influence on the world around us. Through those reflections, we realized the power of preparing our students for a future that’s changing so quickly and the endless possibilities of how we engage in worlds beyond our own.
As a result, we chose to write a prompt that would highlight an inspiring moment in our history: Mission Artemis. Students were tasked with choosing their spacesuit, ensuring a safe passage to the Moon’s South Pole, and designing a pathway that would maximize their exploration.
