  1. ES1 Ecosystems

    1. I understand the relationship between plants, animals, weather, and landscape.
    2. I can identify the basic kinds of biomes.
    3. I can explain the factors that can disturb or change an existing ecosystem.

  2. ES2 Flora and Decomposers

    1. I understand the meaning and origin of the term “primary production.”
    2. I understand the basics of photosynthesis and energy flow.
    3. I can identify the differences between producers in terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems.
    4. I understand the importance of decomposers and the factors that can influence their effectiveness.

  3. ES3 Fauna

    1. I understand the distinction between producers and consumers.
    2. I can explain the different levels of production in a food web.
    3. I understand how humans fit into the food web of our own ecosystem.

  1. ES4 Weather and Climate

    1. I know the difference between weather and climate.
    2. I can list the different ways that climates are measured.
    3. I understand the factors that shape local climates.
    4. I can explain the different stages of the water cycle.

  1. ES5 Geology and Oceanography

    1. I understand the benefits that soil provides to ecosystems.
    2. I understand fossil fuels and the processes that create them.

  2. ES6 Humans and the Environment

    1. I can list the benefits the environment provides to humans.
    2. I understand the ways that humans can affect the environment around them.

  3. ES7 Our Earth’s Past, Present, and Future

    1. I can list the benefits the environment provides to humans.
    2. I understand the ways that humans can affect the environment around them.

Instructors will assign students roughly 60 minutes of class related problems at the end of each session. Homework is generally pulled from Juni's curriculum and is meant to complement the class experience and ensure the student continues to learn and grow outside of the session

My 3 sons ages, 10 1/2, 9 and 7 started using Juni in early June 2020 and absolutely love it. The instructors are college age kids and they relate to my boys very well.
