The iPhone stands alone as the most successful single product in the history of technology. This course gives students the opportunity to learn the basics of app development by building their own iOS app about a hobby or interest of theirs.

  1. I know how to use the inspector to resolve issues.

  2. I can set up a basic text field to print “Hello World” and customize the text view.

  3. I can create an image view and customize it (border color, shape, size, etc).

  4. I can set up a button or link and open a new page when it is clicked.

  2. I can create and use a struct correctly.

  3. I can tell the difference between a z-stack, an h-stack, and a v-stack.

  4. I know how to use a z-stack.

  5. I know how to use a h-stack.

  2. I can create a state variable.

  3. I can display the contents of the array one at a time.

  4. I can imitate the scrolling motion and display information.

  2. I can use Map View to display the Apple maps of a location.

Instructors will assign students roughly 60 minutes of project related homework at the end of each session. Homework is designed to complement the class experience and ensure the student continues to gain practical experience outside of the session.
